GRAND ISLAND, Neb.- Want to learn more about other cultures, have fun with family and eat good food?

Well the Grand Island Literacy Council says get in line for its 3rd free Community Session.

“What we offer (LCGI) is private tutoring with community volunteers, we also have large classes now we offer some days, absolutely free and we also have a computer room with programs to help people learn English,” said Kurt Stoppkotte, council director.

You can bring your favorite dish to share (please label all foods containing pork).

There will be drinks, games and outdoor activities.

“It is a very good event to know the work of the organization, what we offer and if they want to be part of it,” Stoppkotte concluded.

The picnic will be held this Sunday, July 9 from 5 to 8 pm at the Big Pavilion in Stolley Park.
