Grand Island City Council to Reject Bids for New 911 Center

Grand Island, Nebraska. – Plans for a new 911 and emergency operation center are facing an unexpected hurdle in Grand Island.

According to City Attorney Jerry Janulewicz, the city council may have to reject all bids or face higher costs to finish the project.

Current bids are running 25 percent higher than the architect’s original projection.

The council plans to consider a resolution rejecting all bids Tuesday night.
